The Lazio striker, who is experiencing his most difficult season since wearing the Biancocelesti due to some unfortunate injuries, has won the Italian championship’s capocannoniere title four times. He needs one more to reach Gunnar Nordhal’s record.
In Serie A 2022/23, the race for the top scorer title is currently a solo performance. With 21 goals scored in 27 matchdays, Napoli’s striker Victor Osimhen is firmly at the top of the scoring chart. If he were to finish the season leading the aforementioned table, he would have a good chance of breaking a curse that has lasted for 13 years: since 2009, the top scorer of the Italian championship has not won the Scudetto.
